Crocheting is definitely having a calming effect on me during the lock down and I am so grateful to have a hobby that can really take me away from the world’s worries for a while. I have also been noticing how others have been using arts and crafts to cope. A lot of people in my neighbourhood have been painting rainbows for their windows and after a bit of googling I discovered that children were spotting the rainbows on their daily exercise. I don’t have paints or felt tips to make a display and so I decided to hang rainbow coloured crochet bunting in the window. Hopefully, the bunting (and of course our cat Trixie) will bring a smile to somebody’s face as they pass.
If you also want to join in and make some rainbow bunting, the free pattern is below. It only uses small amounts of yarn, so it is the perfect stash buster and you won’t need to visit the yarn store…
Also don’t forget to add the rainbow bunting crochet pattern to your Ravelry queue.
For each triangle, you will need:
Approx. 4g cream or white dk
Approx. 8g coloured dk in the seven colours of the rainbow
You can purchase yarn and accessories at lovecrochet and amazon. (Using these links does not cost you any extra but I will earn a small commission that will help me keep posting free patterns).
