To make this handy tissue pouch, you will need:

Paintbox Yarns Simply DK in Duck Egg Blue (less than 15g)

Small amounts of Paint Box Yarns Simply DK in Champagne White, Blush Pink and Rose Red

3mm hook

Embroidery needle

Front and Back

Make front and back as follows with Duck Egg Blue.

The tissue holder is worked in rows. End each row with a turning chain.

Foundation: 12 ch

Row 1: dc in second ch from hook. Dc along. (11dc)

Row 2 -24: dc along (11).


Use Duck Egg Blue.

Foundation: Ch 57.

Row 1: Tr in 3rd ch from hook. Dc across. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. (55)

With Duck Egg Blue whip stitch the sides to the front and back.


Use Champagne White.

Foundation: Ch 37.

Row 1: DC in second chain from hook, then dc accross. (36)

Row 2: dc, dc with 3 ch picot on top, dc. Repeat 12 times. Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew the trim to the top of the pouch.

Flowers (optional)

Use alternately Duck Egg Blue, Blush Pink and Rose Red

Follow the simple cherry blossom pattern and make three flowers. Sew in the bottom corner of the pouch.
