Wow, I can’t believe we are doing the final rounds of the 2021 crochet blanket. Next Sunday is Boxing Day, so I decided to release the two final rounds today allowing me to have the holiday. Unfortunately, we are again having dull weather meaning I have been unable to take well lit photos of the the rounds or even a good image of the finished blanket. Hopefully, the weather will pick up in the next week and I will have nice pictures of the full blanket that I can show you, while I take a moment reflect on my whole blanket of a year experience. In the meantime, I managed to get a few, all be it darkish, snaps of this week’s rounds and have also added a few favourite images from the year.
This week, we are finishing off the blanket and adding a nice neat trim to the edges.

The blanket is worked in the round. You do not need to turn your work after each row and you continue working in the same direction as before.
[Stitches written in brackets like this are all worked into the same stitch.]
For the first stitch on each row: Chain 1 to move up to the next round if the round starts with double crochet. Chain 2 if the round starts with a half treble crochet, and chain 3 if the round starts with a treble crochet. These chains count as the first stitch in the row
Special stitches
BLO– Back loop only
Ch – chain
Dc – Double crochet
