June Square
The crochet granny square for June is a simple repetitive pattern that really lends itself to warm, lazy summer days crocheting in the garden. While the first rays of sun shine down, I really love being outside and enjoying the first flushed of warmth. Although sometimes in June there is a bit of gap between the spring and summer flowers meaning that the garden is often just green. And while I do love all shades of green, I wanted to make a cheerful, colourful square this month, and so I went for stripes picked out by using back post trebles.
Size approx. 9 inch x 9 inch (22.5 cm)
This month, we are working on another geometric style square using bptr to add depth and texture.

The squares are worked in the round. You do not need to turn your work after each row and you continue working in the same direction as before.

For the first stitch on each row: Chain 1 to move up to the next round if the round starts with double crochet. Chain 2 if the round starts with a half treble crochet, and chain 3 if the round starts with a treble crochet. These chains count as the first stitch in the row
