Well, I certainly thought spring was on the way, and so did little Trixie judging by her moulting all her Winter fur to allow her summer coat to come in. But it looks like mother nature had a bit of a surprise for both of us and granted us a few more days of snow (a very wet kind of snow). Still the cold weather always gives me the perfect excuse to curl up with some crochet, so I should not complaint too much:) Though poor Trixie does not know what to do with her fur.
Despite the lack of spring weather, I still released the Patchwork Blossom Granny Square this week as part of the Bouquet of Flowers CAL. It is such a fun project to be part of; I just love looking at all the other designers’ squares.
Hope that you have all been staying warm this week!
This week, we are working around the square in Candyfloss bphtr to emphasise its9 shape.

The blanket is worked in the round. You do not need to turn your work after each row and you continue working in the same direction as before.
[Stitches written in brackets like this are all worked into the same stitch.]
For the first stitch on each row: Chain 1 to move up to the next round if the round starts with double crochet. Chain 2 if the round starts with a half treble crochet, and chain 3 if the round starts with a treble crochet. These chains count as the first stitch in the row
Special stitches
