Wow, I can’t believe that we are half way through January! And my hooks have definitely been busy, putting the finishing touches to my Easy Cable hat, which is currently out with the testers. I have already been wearing my cable hat as we have had another cold snap here in Durham with snow and freezing temperatures. This hat is intended to come down over your forehead and ears, and I have been feeling the benefit. It has also been a busy week in my translation day job with multiple deadlines, so I have only added another three rounds this week. I was hoping to add more rounds in the first few week, but unfortunately time constraints didn’t allow it this time. The upside is that I am brimming with ideas for week three and I am desperate to move on it.
Have a great crochet-filled week everyone!
This week, I have continues working around the centre giving the flower a stronger backing in Ocean and then adding a circular border in the two tones of yellow.

The blanket is worked in the round. You do not need to turn your work after each row and you continue working in the same direction as before.
[Stitches written in brackets like this are all worked into the same stitch.]
For the first stitch on each row: Chain 1 to move up to the next round if the round starts with double crochet. Chain 2 if the round starts with a half treble crochet, and chain 3 if the round starts with a treble crochet. These chains count as the first stitch in the row
