What would October be without pumpkins? And this year I have noticed crocheted and knitted pumpkins have become really stylish, so I had to get in the act (again). You might remember a few years ago, I designed the easy cable crochet pumpkin, and this year I have made her little sister. A tiny pumpkin that can either be displayed on the mantle piece or because it is so small can be added to wreaths or as I have done, to floral arrangements.

Stuff firmly, and then use an embroidery needle to sew closed.
Work leaves separately in green.
Round 1. Make a starting Mc ( If you want to create a loop for hanging, leave a long starting tail.), Now working into the mc, 2dc, ch 19, 2dc in second ch from hook, then 2dc in each ch until you have worked back to the mc. Repeat 3 times in total. Then join with ss and fasten off.
If you want to make a loop, use your crochet hook to pull up the starting tail until the loop on top of the leaves is the size you want it for your rod, then use an embroidery needle to sew in place on the underside of the leaves, and sew the leaves to the pumpkin.
