Chysanthemum Granny Square - Free Crochet Pattern

Chrysanthemum Granny Square

The Mum Show at Smith College was one of my favourite memories from our Autumn trip to New England. I just loved the colour and variety that these flowers have to offer at a time of year when most plants are going into winter hibernation and so I really want to include a tribute to these Mums in the Fall in New England Cushion Crochet Along.

The Chrysanthemum granny Corn square is part 4 of the CAL. It shows the delicate long petals of the Mum that change from light to dark and form a vibrant ball of petals.

You can find the Chrysanethemum Crochet Square Pattern for free below or you can buy an inexpensive ad-free pdf pattern.

Pattern notes

The pattern is written using UK terminology, for a conversion chart to US terminology click this link.

The square is worked in the round. You do not need to turn your work after each row and you continue working in the same direction as before.

[Stitches written in brackets like this are all worked into the same stitch.]

For the first stitch on each row: Crochet 1 chain to move up to the next round if the round starts with double crochet. Crochet 2 chains if the round starts with a half treble crochet, and crochet 3 chains if the round starts with a treble crochet. These chains count as the first stitch in the row.
